At GBG, we guide clients through strategic planning and complex initiatives. We create and improve systems and operations. We develop leaders who are ready for what’s next.

Katie Aiello-Howard
Co-Founder
Katie loves excel, chocolate, and a good gym session—in that order. She is one of the rare people who can engage both her right and left brain at the same time.

Katie started her career as a tax accountant working with some of the largest real estate developers in the nation’s capital. Katie’s enthusiasm for well-written prose led her to pursue an MFA in Creative Writing, teach college English, and later administer a large federal grant that empowered youth to complete their GED.
Before launching Give Better Group, Katie served as COO of DC Ed Fund, where she combined her creative side with her tactical financial approach. Katie spearheaded the adoption and implementation of a new donor management system, launched a new accounting system to better manage the spending of nearly $20 million, and was still able to flex her creative muscles writing successful proposals and designing collateral that resonated with the organization's closest partners.
Katie holds a BA in Accounting from Lynchburg College and an MFA in Creative Writing from Georgia College & State University, and is a winner of Washington Business Journal’s 2016 CFO of the Year Award.
Always a doer, when not doing the most good, Katie can be found on a run with her husband in Rock Creek Park or practicing handstand presses at gyms around DC.

Jessica has worn many hats—public school teacher, nonprofit founder, strategist, and entrepreneur—and made each one count. She began her career in a Bronx classroom, recruited top talent for Teach For America, launched an award-winning nonprofit, helped lead the fastest-improving urban school district in the country, and raised record-breaking funds for public schools in Washington, DC.
Over the years, Jessica has been recognized for her leadership and commitment to service, including being named a 40 Under 40 Business Leader by the Washington Business Journal and receiving a Mayoral Commendation from DC Mayor Muriel Bowser. Since moving to Nevada in 2017, she has built a life and career rooted in the Las Vegas community she now proudly calls home. In 2024, Jessica was honored as one of Teach For America Las Vegas’ Top 20 Alumni for her contributions to education and the region and in 2025 she is being celebrated as a ‘Woman Making a Difference’ by HELP of Southern Nevada.
A natural host and hype woman, when not doing the most good, Jessica’s the one bringing people together, curating the perfect theme, or pulling off an epic surprise party with a ‘90s hip-hop legend, a vow renewal, and spaghetti. (Yes, really.)
She holds a B.A. with Highest Honors from UC Berkeley and an M.Ed. from Bank Street College in New York City. Jessica lives in Downtown Las Vegas with her amazing husband, two awesome kids, and two mostly-adorable dogs.
